Okay so I was looking at this, which are Gunnar Computer glasses over at thinkgeek.com

What they do, is they’re orange-yellow tinted to filter out the blues and whites of the computer and reduce strain on your eyes.
Our lovely Matt is a hacker and a gamer, which means he spends a lot of his time in front of a screen, and he is a genius, which means he must know it could ruin his eyesight and give him horrible headaches.

Hence the orange tinted goggles.
